Annie Baur
Development and Marketing Associate
Annie joined Upaya at the start of 2022 as the Development and Marketing Associate. Her focus with the team lies in fundraising and marketing as well as providing administrative support to the Seattle team. She has long had an interest in international development and working in the non-profit field. Upaya’s unique approach to poverty reduction spoke to Annie’s deep belief in participant-led, sustainable development and the resilient determination of communities.
Prior to starting at Upaya, she worked in the service industry in event planning and fine dining. Annie participated in TAPIF as an English Language Ambassador in Northwestern France.
She graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2019 with a BA in International Studies focused in Peace and Conflict Resolution and a minor in French. Through her studies she had the opportunity to live in the South of France and West Africa. Annie loves to experience other cultures and always has her passport ready to go.
